African Coaches Connect (ACC) is delighted and applauds the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on the pioneering CAF C Coaching Course exclusively for women. This landmark program, scheduled at the NFF/FIFA Technical Centre in Abuja, aims to empower female coaches and promote gender equality in football.
Starting July 15th, 2024, thirty talented coaches, including retired players and practicing coaches, will participate in the three-module course.
ACC’s Founder and President, Coach Eldred Sunju-Abbey, commended the NFF for this initiative, stating, “We are proud and support the development of female Nigerian and African coaches. Together, we can elevate the beautiful game and create opportunities for women in football. We are thrilled and very elated for the Nigerian Coaches, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Nigerian Football on this groundbreaking and excitingly looking forward to many more courses and workshops on the horizon, for the betterment of all coaches and football . ACC also extends its congratulations to the talented participants who are paving the way for future generations of women in sports. We celebrate your dedication, passion, and achievements. Coach Grace Kurah, affectionately known as ‘Coach Mama Africa’, a trailblazer with her unwavering dedication to empowering, developing and equal gender placement of female coaches with her staunch stance and advocacy, she has tirelessly championed gender equality in sports. Her remarkable journey and achievements serve as a testament to her passion and leadership, inspiring a new generation of women in football. ACC and African Coaches honors her immeasurable contributions, vision, and leadership, which continue to inspire and uplift women in football, embodying the spirit of “United To Get Better and Greater”. Coach Grace Kurah serves as ACC’s Head of Nigerian Female Coaches Capital Innovation and Development, she expressed her gratitude, “We extend our sincere appreciation to the NFF, CAF, and FIFA for this incredible opportunity and CAF certification.
