The African Coaches Connect (ACC) extends its warmest congratulations to their Nigerian General coordinator and a leader of it’s International Press Group, Patrick Ngwaogu, Odogwu, on receiving the Veteran Sports Journalist Award from the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN).
Ngwaogu, Editor-in-Chief of Exclusive News Online Newspaper, a trained football coach and administrator was recognized for his outstanding contributions, professionalism, and enduring service to the growth and integrity of sports journalism in Nigeria. The award was presented as part of SWAN’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration, marking 60 years of dedication to sports journalism in Nigeria.

Ngwaogu’s impressive career spans his work with the Nigerian Tribune and the Nation newspapers, as well as his involvement with Abia Warriors Football Club and the FCT Football Association. He has played a pivotal role in mentoring and unifying sports journalists, promoting excellence in sports reportage over the decades in Nigeria and beyond.
The ACC joins SWAN in celebrating Patrick Ngwaogu’s remarkable achievements and commends his commitment to sports development and journalism. We wish him continued success in his future endeavors and truly proud having him in our team.
