Developing Football, Transforming Lives: Coach Phillimon Makwengwe Embodies ACC’s Legacy

Coach Phillimon Makwengwe, our dedicated ACC Head of Coaches Mobilization and Management for the Botswana Chapter, has achieved another milestone fresh from the CAF A Licence Refresher course in Maseru, Lesotho. He proudly participated in the kit launch ceremony of his team, Morupule Wanderers, a Botswana Premier League team sponsored by the coal mining company. We congratulate Coach “Big Phil” on signing a 2-year deal with Morupule Wanderers, a testament to his exceptional leadership and coaching skills.

Although he will be leaving the country’s shores for a 3-year stint abroad soon, we wish him all the best and look forward to his continued contributions to football development. ACC is proud to have Coach Phillimon Makwengwe as part of our team, and we celebrate his achievements as a shining example of our organization’s commitment to empowering coaches and developing football in Africa.

Coach Phillimon Makwengwe shared his gratitude, “I’m thankful for ACC’s support in my growth and development as a coach. Their commitment to empowering coaches and developing football in Africa is truly inspiring. I’m excited to continue learning and contributing to the beautiful game.”

Coach Eldred Sunju-Abbey, ACC Founder and President, echoed similar sentiments, “We’re proud to nurture and empower dedicated coaches like Phillimon Makwengwe. His passion and leadership are a testament to the power of football to transform lives and communities. We’re committed to supporting his journey and the growth of football in Africa, together.”
