Akwa United Coach Fatai Osho discusses the team’s preparedness for the next season.

Akwa United head coach, Fatai Osho, has assured fans that his team will be prepared for the start of the new season. The tactician took over the Promise Keepers just two months ago, and he is currently in the process of building a squad that can compete for honours. The team played a pre-season friendly against Bayelsa United, and although they drew 1-1, Osho emphasized that the result was not significant.

He stated that the team is still a work in progress, and he will continue to work on correcting the noticeable lapses. However, he is confident that the team will be ready for the task ahead in a very short time.

The former Rivers United assistant coach stressed that the results of the encounter isn’t important but building a formidable squad for the new season.

“I’m impressed that we did very well in the game.

“We conceded an early goal, we fought back and equalized,” he told the club’s media.

“We are working to ensure we have a good team for the new season.

“These two games have given us something to think about and all the noticeable lapses will be corrected because we are still working.

“We are still a work in progress. I want to assure everyone at the club that we will be ready for the task ahead in a very short time.”
