ACC visits Ivorien Football Coaches Association President in Abidjan

Ahead of its inaugural international Football Coaches Convention tagged “ACCONVENTION Abidjan 24’” African Coaches Connect has paid a courtesy visit to the President, Ivorien Football Coaches Association, Atse Kuao Hyacinthe.

The ACC delegation for the visit in Abidjan was led by ACC’s Founder and President, Coach Eldred Sunju-Abbey. Coach Eldred emphasized that the visit was in furtherance of collaborative efforts between ACC and the Cote D’Ivoire Football Coaches Association plus other football stakeholders in the West African countries, particularly countries sharing borderlands with our Convention site.

The purpose of the visit was to continue establishing collaborative relationship between ACC and the Cote D’Ivoire Football Association plus other members of the Ivorien Football family and lovers of the game.

Coach Eldred underscored the significance of African coaches collaborating to advance the sport and secure a prominent position in global football.

According to him,” Africa is blessed with a lot of great coaches, Morocco’s coach Walid Regragui shocked the world with his performance at the last Fifa world Cup by becoming the first African Coach to lead a team to the podium stage of the FIFA World Cup. He continued by saying,
” with the right information, regular education, trainings and re-training, African coaches would be able to compete with their counterparts from the rest of the world”.

In response, President Atse Kouao Hyacinthe commended the African Coaches Connect initiative and pledged support for its objectives. He expressed appreciation for the positive strides taken, considering them as steps in the right direction.

President Hyacinthe envisioned ACC as a unifying force for all African coaches, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas to elevate football coaching and development on the continent.

He lauded ACC further, saying, “ I would like to appreciate you for a job well done, this is a step in the right direction. Just as the name implies, I hope this body will be able to bring all Africa coaches together so that we can be united and also challenge our ourselves in developing football in the continent through sharing of ideas and implementing functional coaching modules.

He assured full support during the 2024 Convention and extended an invitation for future collaborations.

The African Coaches Connect convention is scheduled to take place in Abidjan from January 17th to 22nd, 2024.
