African Coaches Connect (ACC) has announced the formalisation of a strategic partnership with the TIZIAD Association, marking an expansion of an existing logistics collaboration established in preparation for the upcoming African Football Convention.
The partnership was confirmed following a meeting between the founder and President of African Coaches Connect, Coach Eldred Sunju-Abbey, the Executive Director of Operations, Adedeji-Ajoje Israel, Mr. Christopher Nwabuzor, and the President of the TIZIAD Association, during which both organisations outlined a shared vision for long-term football development across the African continent.
Originally conceived as a logistics partnership to support the delivery of the African Football Convention, the collaboration has now been broadened into a more comprehensive alliance aligned with ACC’s mission of uniting football professionals in Africa for their collective development and for the advancement of football on the continent.
The TIZIAD Association is a Morocco-based non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering African cooperation through development, integration, and cross-border collaboration. The Association provides strategic logistical and institutional support for international initiatives, with a strong focus on youth, sports, cultural exchange, and community development. Through its extensive local networks, TIZIAD facilitates partnerships between African organisations and Moroccan institutions, supports event coordination and mobility, and serves as a bridge linking Africa, North Africa, and the diaspora in projects that promote sustainable development and continental unity.
Strengthening Professional Collaboration in African Football
African Coaches Connect (ACC) is a pan-African platform focused on connecting coaches and football stakeholders, providing access to education, professional development, and cross-border collaboration. The expanded partnership with TIZIAD is expected to enhance institutional cooperation and create new opportunities for knowledge exchange and capacity and infrastructure building within the African football ecosystem.
Discussions between both organisations emphasised the importance of structured engagement among football professionals as a foundation for sustainable growth. The partnership is intended to move beyond event-based collaboration toward long-term programmes that support professional development and institutional strengthening.
Focus on Sporting Infrastructure Development
In addition to professional collaboration, the partnership will extend to initiatives aimed at supporting the development of solid sporting infrastructure across African nations. Both organisations identified infrastructure as a critical pillar in the long-term growth of African football, particularly in relation to talent development, coach education, and grassroots participation.
Through joint initiatives, African Coaches Connect and TIZIAD intend to contribute to the planning and development of training facilities, technical centres, and football development hubs that can serve professionals and communities across the continent.
A Strategic Step Ahead of the African Football Convention
The announcement comes ahead of the African Football Convention, where both organisations are expected to continue their collaboration in support of the event’s objectives. The Convention is designed as a platform for dialogue, education, and partnership among African and international football stakeholders.
By expanding their relationship in advance of the Convention, African Coaches Connect and TIZIAD have signalled a commitment to long-term impact beyond the event itself, positioning the partnership as a strategic step toward building a more connected, structured, and sustainable football ecosystem in Africa.
