African Coaches Connect Pays Courtesy Visit to Fath Union Sports Academy, Rabat, Ahead of African Football Convention 2026

As part of its strategic stakeholder engagement ahead of the African Football Convention 2026, African Coaches Connect (ACC) paid a formal courtesy visit to Fath Union Sport (FUS) Academy, Rabat, on 30th December 2025.

The visit was aimed at strengthening institutional relationships and aligning key Moroccan football stakeholders with the vision, objectives, and delivery of the African Football Convention, scheduled to hold from January 5th to 9th, 2026.

The ACC delegation was led by its President/Founder, Mr. Eldred Sunju-Abbey, alongside the Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Adedeji-Ajoje Israel. During the visit, they were received by the leadership of Fath Union Sport Academy, one of Morocco’s most respected multi-sport institutions, renowned for its professionalism, youth development structure, and contribution to football and sports excellence in the country.

Discussions during the meeting were constructive and forward-looking, focusing on shared values around coaching development, institutional capacity building, and sustainable growth within African football. The leadership of Fath Union Sport expressed strong interest in the African Football Convention and reaffirmed their support for initiatives that promote knowledge exchange, professional development, and collaboration across the African football ecosystem.

In a significant show of commitment, Fath Union Sport provided resources and institutional support toward the successful hosting of the Convention, further reinforcing the importance of strong local partnerships in delivering a continental event of this scale and relevance.

The ACC leadership took the opportunity to formally brief FUS on the Convention’s structure, content, and purpose, emphasizing its role as a platform that brings together coaches, football administrators, federations, legal professionals, and industry stakeholders from across Africa and beyond.

Both organizations also explored avenues for sustained collaboration beyond the Convention, including future technical programs, exchange initiatives, and long-term partnerships focused on advancing African football development.
