African Coaches Connect Pays Courtesy Visit to Racing Universitaire de Casablanca in Continued Moroccan Institutional Engagement

As part of its structured stakeholder engagement ahead of the African Football Convention 2026, African Coaches Connect (ACC) paid a courtesy visit to Racing Universitaire de Casablanca (RUC) in Casablanca, continuing its series of institutional meetings with leading Moroccan sports organizations.

Racing Universitaire de Casablanca, widely known for its strong heritage in rugby and multi-sport development, occupies a unique place in Morocco’s sporting landscape, with a long-standing reputation for discipline, institutional organization, and contribution to the development of sport at both grassroots and elite levels.

The ACC delegation was led by its President, Mr. Eldred Sunju Abbey, alongside the Executive Director of Operations, Mr. Adedeji-Ajoje Israel. The meeting with RUC’s leadership provided an opportunity for both organizations to exchange views on the role of structured institutions in advancing sports development, education, and professional standards across Africa.

During the engagement, ACC presented the vision and objectives of the African Football Convention, scheduled to take place from January 5th to 9th, 2026, emphasizing that while the Convention is football-focused, its core themes—leadership, coaching methodology, institutional governance, athlete welfare, and sustainable sports structures—cut across all sporting disciplines.

The leadership of Racing Universitaire de Casablanca welcomed the visit and expressed appreciation for initiatives that promote knowledge exchange, capacity building, and cross-sport collaboration. Discussions also highlighted the value of learning from Morocco’s established sporting institutions, particularly in areas of club structure, athlete development, and institutional continuity.

ACC further outlined how Moroccan sports organizations play a critical role in hosting and supporting continental events, especially in cities like Casablanca, which continue to position themselves as regional hubs for international sport, education, and cultural exchange.

The courtesy visit to Racing Universitaire de Casablanca reflects African Coaches Connect’s commitment to inclusive engagement, recognizing that the development of African football is strengthened through dialogue and collaboration with the broader sports ecosystem.

As preparations for the African Football Convention 2026 progress, ACC remains focused on building relationships with respected Moroccan institutions whose experience and structure contribute meaningfully to the success of major continental sporting initiatives.
